Sehr wichtig bei diesem Fallentyp ist, dass vorne eine Blende verhindert, dass das Auslösebrett betreten werden kann, wenn das zu fangende Tier nicht komplett in der Falle steht. Deswegen muss der Köder auch ganz nach hinten ins Dunkle! Mit Ei und Wildmagnetpaste geht das sehr einfach und effektiv. Das Wild geht dann schräg nach hinten und der schnellste Marder muss erst um die Ecke springen und kann nicht mit einem Satz geradeaus die zufallende Falle noch schnell verlassen.
Krokodil-Kastenfalle
Diese Art Falle fängt alle Arten Raubwild bis zu Jungfüchsen und manchmal auch Altfüchse. Sie kann kostengünstig und mit überschaubarem Aufwand selbst gebaut werden und gerade noch alleine bewegt und aufgebaut werden. Danach kommen dann nur noch Beton Wipprohrfallen. Eine solche Kofferfalle ist auch nur eine Holzkastenfalle mit deutlich größerem Fangraum. Sie fängt deutlich besser als kleine Holzkastenfallen in länglicher Quaderform. Durch das aufstehende Maul kann man sie auch Krokodil-Kastenfalle nennen.
